Selected candidates are invited to enroll in the Dance Active Wellness Teacher Certification Program

Upon successful completion, certified instructors may be offered teaching opportunities based on organizational needs.
Dance Active Wellness Teacher Certification
Our Teacher Certification Program prepares you to confidently facilitate the Dance Active Wellness methodology in senior living communities and adult day centers.
What You'll Learn
- The Dance Active Wellness methodology and teaching philosophy
- Creative movement techniques, dance vocabulary, and class structure
- Teaching strategies for older adults with varying physical and cognitive abilities
- Safety and professionalism in senior living communities
- Community onboarding, including Accushield procedures and site expectations
 Program Format
A 3-day intensive training (4 hours per day) combining hands-on instruction, practice teaching, and interactive learning.
Ongoing Professional Development
Certification is just the beginning. Teaching Artists participate in quarterly refresher meetings to continue learning, share experiences, and grow together as a team.
Program Tuition
The tuition for the Dance Active Wellness Teacher Certification Program is $420.
Employment
Completion of the certification program does not guarantee employment with Dance Active Wellness. Certified instructors who successfully complete the program may be considered for current and future teaching opportunities based on organizational needs and available assignments.
